Welcome To Tweeddale Access Panel

Who are we?

Tweeddale Access Panel is a group of volunteers, both disabled and non-disabled, all working together to improve access and inclusion for people with disabilities in our local community.

We come from a variety of backgrounds and age groups but most importantly we bring the lived experience of disability or supporting someone with a disability. We also bring the lived experience of different job roles in the private and public sector.

We improve access by raising awareness of the problems faced by people with disabilities, and helping to change attitudes amongst the general public about the need for inclusive access.

Our Panel was set up in 1989 and is a registered Scottish Charity.  We are one of around 40 Access Panels in Scotland which are funded, supported and guided by Disability Equality Scotland, to improve the lives of disabled people.
